By now, it should be no secret that women are diverse creatures. There is no ONE prescribed manual as to what a woman should be or how a woman should act. Cultures and ideologies have tried to set perimeters as to what an image of women allies, girlfriends, women diversity, unified womenwomen should look and act like for centuries – even women themselves have tried to pigeonhole one another. All this has done is cause division, competition and castes of women, where the ones who fit the ideological characteristics are at the top while the outliersan image of girlfriends, unified women, fitness, women friendships remain tiers below. What we fail to remember is the beauty in diversity and that it is our diversity that is supposed to aid and strengthen one another. Where one woman may lack strength or talent, another can help supplement that area and vice versa. Our diversity is meant to build one another up, not to be looked down upon.

Women, we should be each other’s best allies and fight for one another. We need to get rid of calling each other and ourselves bitches, whores and sluts. We need to stop looking at what differences we each have and search more for our likenesses. If we want equality and partnership, we An image of girlfriends, unified women, women friends, women friendshipscannot tear down one another. How can something be built up if we can’t work together? Those divided against one another can never prosper so we need to make sure we are working together. We need to drop the comparison game and start admiring each womanan image of women river rafting, unified women, women friendships, women paddling, fitness for what they have to offer. When women come together in a unified way, a dynamic takes place unlike with anyone else. We are able to share in each other’s joys, woes and triumphs. We are able to laugh at the things that make us women. We are all different and complex but that doesn’t mean we can’t be cohesive. No matter what the background, interests and lifestyles, we all are able to share in at least one commonality and that is our female experience.

Let’s be honest, who else can we be so unapologetically silly and goofy with? The women in our lives teach us why it’s amazing to be a woman. Sure, we’ve had our struggles and we have sisters around the world who are still struggling because of their gender, but we are in this together. We are women and we are unashamed.
