Braids and Beanies – Hair Care for the Slopes

We love our beanies! But even greater than love,we NEED them to keep our noggins toasty when we’re up up the slopes. So we rock our beanies, but at the end of the day, we have that hair! You know what I mean; hat head, but to an even greater extreme because we’ve been working the slopes and our bodies, and those beanies are SNUG. So what’s a girl to do, when she comes back into town, and doesn’t have time to re-do her ‘do for an evening out & about? One word: BRAIDS.

Local hairstylist Lauren Thompson is the braid queen at Azure Hair Studio. She showed us some fun looks we could rock on the slopes under our beanies. The cool part is: when you take the braids out, you have fun curls and waves to work with!

Remember to condition like crazy in the wintertime; the dry, cold air can thrash your locks! We recommend spraying on a leave-in conditioner or nourishing prep spray, like Prep by Bumble & Bumble, before twisting up those braids. What’s YOUR favorite under-beanie ‘do?
